Shane Timmons, Raluca Briazu, Alessandra Tasso, and Ruth Byrne attended the meeting on Counterfactual Thinking in Causality, Emotion, Communication, and Behaviour sponsored by the European Association for Social Psychology. It was held in Aix en Provence, France, at La Baume les Aix,  from June 1st to 4th 2016. Raluca Briazu  gave a talk on the role of counterfactual thoughts in deceptive communication, Alessandra Tasso gave a talk on emotions and counterfactuals in moral decision making, and Ruth Byrne gave a talk on mental representations and cognitive processes in reasoning about counterfactual conditionals.
